Daffodil
Asphodel English name derived from the
name of the flower, itself from Latin asphodelus,
from Greek asphodelos. In
Greek mythology, it is described as a pale yellow
deathless kind of lily flower that overspreads the plains of Hades
and is the favorite food of the dead.
